Reusable Bamboo Face Wipes
Swapping to reusable rather than single use items is easier than it appears. Take for instance the reusable bamboo face wipes I started Forester & Rose with.
A simple replacement for cotton wool pads, if you use single use cotton pads how many do you go through during your skincare routine or when you're removing nail polish or heavy eye make up?
The wipes I make are backed with super soft bamboo and cotton fleece, the closest alternative to cotton pads I could find. If they are sitting in your bathroom waiting to be used they look a lot nicer than a plastic wrapped tower of cotton pads. Place them in a kilner jar or an upcycled jar, make a feature out of them.
If you prefer practical over pretty, choose the double sided wipes for two layers of bamboo and cotton softness.
I use only 100% cotton thread to sew everything together.
Just remember when you have used your reusable bamboo face wipes, I find it best to give them a rinse initially after use, then place them either in a small wash bag or delicates bag or similar, even a tied pillowcase and pop them in the wash. This helps them from getting lost in the wash.
When washed, reshape whilst damp and place them to dry, all ready for your next use.
Once you've used reusable wipes, you won't want to go back to single use.
Thanks for reading.
P.S A top tip is if any stubborn stains appear on your reusable face wipes, use bicarbonate of soda and water before washing, I find this really helps and even removed pink nail polish when my daughter had used them to remove her nail polish.
